Finally!

That is the first word in my mind when writing this very first blog post. It has taken too many years to get this blog up and public.

While others took the easy ride and established their blogs into the web publishing services like Blogger or TypePad, I wanted to the take full control over the blog, including the technologies running the blog pages. So I needed to first build the whole web site before get started.

That was a big mistage. Although fun, putting a web site up and running is heavily time consuming. And time is something that I as a father of two kids pretty much don't have. You know, it is not an option to sit down in the front of laptop for couple of hours after  arriving home from the work.

I've been fidling with web pages since 1994, when I created the very first web page in the University. I was going to include here a screenshot of the page but I cannot remember any more the password of the zip file which stores the old web pages. Also Internet Archive has only ripples left, i.e. not pictures etc. (edit: found one page, screen shot on the right.)

Oh well, that is history anyway and this is present. The blog will have content for example about

  • My life experience with the family in the United States
  • Aviation hobby (no, not the flying part)
  • Photography (photos, techniques, equipment)
  • Gadgets, services etc I use and review

And yes, english language is not my native language, so get used to see all those spelling and grammar errors!
